A Member is any York student
volunteer who has volunteered a
minimum of 16 hours during a single york is U year and
has attended a volunteer Orientation.
Also…any York student
who has previously held york is U membership requires
only 12 volunteer hours and an orientation to regain
membership status.

from a top ranking University official.
Exclusive invitations to york is U holiday and
end of year parties.
Voting privileges at membership meetings, constitution
meeting and action team meetings.
Your name announced at the first general meeting after
reaching membership status.
Happy Birthday cake celebration at the general meeting
nearest your birthday (or half birthday).
Eligible for "U rock" and "U rule" and awards at general
team meetings.
The top 10 volunteers are recognized at each general
meeting.

and contests.
Eligible to run in elections for york is U
director positions (directors are paid for their work).
Eligible to vote in elections for york is U
director positions.
Eligible to apply for conferences.

Upon reaching 25 hours you will receive a york is U
designer clothing item.
Upon reaching 45 hours you will receive a second york
is U designer clothing item.
Upon reaching 65 hours you will receive you third
york is U designer clothing item.
The volunteer who records the most hours receives the
prestigious volunteer of the year award and a mega-prize
pack.
Members will receive an official recognition certificate
at the end of year party to recognize and thank them for
their contributions.
